Dangerous Lead?

L&R’s lead certified personnel have the experience and capability to assess lead paint concerns related to renovation or demolition of commercial and residential buildings. Just bring in your suspect samples to have them tested.

We offer lead analysis of the following:

• Paint
• Soil
• Surfaces
• Air
• Water

L&R complies with various state and local government entities including: the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

We also offer lead analysis by X-ray Fluorescence (XRF). The XRF instrument measures lead in paint by directing high energy X-rays and gamma rays into the paint, causing the lead atoms in the paint to emit X-rays which are detected by the instrument and converted to a measurement of the amount of lead in the paint.

Testing for lead is crucial for the safety and health of children and pregnant women. Exposure lead can cause learning disabilities, mental retardation, and other serious problems.
